Label:
A skirt made from knotted tufts of palm fibre, attached to a waistband of palm fibre cord. It has a fringe at the top made of red European cloth. It is said to be worn by young women for dancing. It is known as "nesool" or "nesur by the Meriam people. It was collected by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907. (80x30cm.)
