- A skirt made from plant fibre tufts knotted on to fibre strings and suspended from a knotted belt. It is said to be worn by women, girls and possibly men as well. It is known as a "nesool" and "nesur" by the Meriam people. Collected from Mer (Murray Island) by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907.
