Backview of a headdress made from a framework of bamboo, covered with coloured wool and decorated with a fibre decoration which is painted black, white and red. It has Torres Strait Pigeon feathers bound around the framework. It is said to be worn by men in dances and during warfare and called 'dari'. It was collected from Mer, (Murray Island) in 1907 by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch. (34.5x51cms.)
