Label:
A headdress made from a cane frame, with a strip of European cloth tied around it with red cotton. It is also decorated with feathers, probably dyed brown. It is said to be worn by men during war dances and is called "dari" by the Meriam people. It was collected for the Museum by C.H. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907. (60x35cm.)
