Label:
A tuft made from Bird of Paradise feathers, attached to a piece of light wood by a piece of plaited palm fibre. They are said to be worn by men in dances. They are known as "degem" by the Meriam people. It was collected by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907. (40x9.)
