Label:
A belt woven from plaited palm fibre. It is decorated with coloured cotton bands and shells. It is said to be worn by men in dances and ceremonies and are known as "pet wak" by the Meriam people. It was collected for the Museum by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907. (33x4.5cm)
