Label:
An arm guard, woven from bamboo strips into cylinders. They were worn on the lower arm for protection against friction from the bowstring. It was Known as "borz/kadig" by the Meriam people. It was collected on Mer, Murray Islands, Torres Straits for the Museum by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907. (24.5x9cm)
