Label:
A turtle-shell breast ornament, with a fish-hook-shaped carving projecting from the base and decorated with a plant fibre tassel. A palm fibre cord is attached for hanging. It is said to be worn by married women and is known as "sabakura/sabagorar by the Meriam people. Collected for the Museum by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907.
