A breast ornament, made from plain pearl-shell, with a piece of coconut fibre cord attached for hanging around the neck. It is said to be worn by men in dances and ceremonies and is known as "mai" by the Meriam people. It was collected for the Museum by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907. (12.2x11.0.)
