- An ear distendercarved from wood.It has two lobes connected by a narrow ridge, decorated with carved designs and in-filled with red and blue pigment. They are said to be used for distending ear lobes after piercing. They are called "peltut/laip tut" by the Meriam people. It was collected for the Museum by C. Hedley and A.R. McCulloch in 1907. (5.8x2.3 cm.)
